Partnership Middle School

On Monday, we had a pep rally to prepare our students for their MAAP tests. We are so proud of all that each of you has accomplished this year! We know that you tried your hardest and did your best on your tests. We are so proud of all that you have accomplished and all that you will accomplish! 🐝

Last week, our GrOW class had a special visit with the "Bee Man", Dr. Jeff Harris from Mississippi State University Extension Service to learn about the life cycle, hives and pollination of honey bees! From inside the Extension Service pop-up tent, students were able to observe a functioning beehive. The hands-on adventure also allowed our middle schoolers to pass around screens of the honeycombs and search the cells for larva, caped honey cells, and fresh pollen. They were also able to hold and pass around a baby bee and drone bees. The students' favorite part was tasting pure, sweet honey from the hive!

Parents, don't forget our Jacket Boys Basketball Tryouts next week for rising 7th and 8th grade teams. Please see the schedule below. Free physicals are available on Saturday, April 25 at 8:30 at Baptist Healthplex.

Growing Together: Students Team Up for Spring Gardening The school gardens at Partnership Middle School are showing signs of spring. Last week, students from the Agriculture and Natural Resources program at Starkville High teamed up with the middle school GrOW classroom to begin preparations for the gardening season. Agriculture and Natural Resources is....

Connecting classroom to career... this Spring, our 7th grade students have participated in their choice of career-centered field trips with community partners who have generously given an in-depth view of their industries. A group visited our partners at Chick-fil-A Starkville to learn about the food service industry, the franchise business model, and how things get done behind the scenes in the kitchen.
