šŸšŸ–¤šŸ’› CONGRATULATIONS, CADETS! šŸ’›šŸ–¤šŸ

The Yellow Jacket Battalion would like to send a HUGE congratulations to two of our very own, Cadet Ivy Edwards and Cadet Tiwan Triplett, on being voted to the Starkville High School Homecoming Court!

We are extremely proud to see our cadets representing not only the Yellow Jacket Battalion, but the entire Starkville High School student body.

Being selected by your peers is a tremendous honor and speaks to the positive impact you both have made within our school community.

Continue to lead by example, represent with pride, and EXPECT EXCELLENCE!

Congratulations, Cadet Edwards and Cadet Triplett! Your Yellow Jacket Battalion family is proud of you!

TEAMWORK IN ACTION!

Our Cadets put their team-building, communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills to the test by completing a Virtual Escape Room!

Cadets had to work together, think outside the box, communicate effectively, and solve challenging clues to accomplish the mission. Activities like this show that leadership isn’t always developed on the drill field—it also happens in the classroom when cadets are challenged to think, collaborate, and lead as a team.

Every challenge presents an opportunity to learn. Every problem presents an opportunity to lead.

THE MISSION HAS BEGUN!

The official kickoff of the 2026–2027 Starkville High School JROTC Yellow Jacket Battalion is underway!

Our JROTC Yellow Jacket Battalion was honored to present the Colors during this year’s National Night Out event, hosted by the Starkville Police Department on August 4, 2026.

The annual event aims to strengthen the partnership between law enforcement and the community while providing our cadets another opportunity to demonstrate the values of leadership, citizenship, teamwork, and service.

šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø The Colors were proudly presented by:
• Cadet Taylen Davenport
• Cadet Rakyla Brown (Color Guard Commander)
• Cadet Andrew George
• Cadet Logan Kroner

This wasn’t just another community event—it was another battalion mission. Every mission is an opportunity to lead, serve, grow, and set the standard for those who will follow.

To our cadets: Thank you for stepping forward! Your professionalism, discipline, dedication, and willingness to serve represent everything we expect from members of the Yellow Jacket Battalion.

A special thank you to the Starkville Police Department for allowing our cadets to be part of this special evening and for continuing to build strong relationships throughout our community.

Special ā€œThank Youā€ to Lathon Visions for capturing this moment.

The school year is officially underway, and so is training!

It’s never too early to start preparing for the competitions and local events ahead. At the Starkville High School JROTC Yellow Jacket Battalion, we take pride in staying ready at all times—because preparation today leads to success tomorrow.

One day at a time. One team. One mission.

Our 9th Grade Cadets are already locked in and ready to go, thanks to the outstanding foundation they received through the JCC program at Armstrong Junior High. We look forward to building on those skills and watching them continue to grow as leaders.

ELITE • DISCIPLINED • UNSTOPPABLE
