During this week's MSU Research Awards, an interdisciplinary team from the Athlete Engineering Institute and Raspet Flight Research Lab was recognized for their work in patenting a mobile markerless motion capture system for movement data collection in all environments! The research team included David Saucier, Carver Middleton, Caden Teer and Chris White.

A little bit of Raspet history, a little bit of the future. ✈️

Raspet got its start nearly 80 years ago studying soaring and sailplane flight. Today, we’re carrying that legacy forward through DARPA’s Albatross program.

It’s pretty cool to see a research focus that helped shape Raspet’s early days come full circle in a modern flight-test environment.
