🚛 A big step forward for workforce education in Bradford County!

The Bradford County School District, in partnership with North Florida Technical College, has received $3 million through the Florida Job Growth Grant Fund announced by Governor Ron DeSantis to begin the process of building a new CDL truck driving range.

While these funds will not cover the entire cost of the future range, they are a great starting point and an important step toward growing and improving our truck driving program and expanding opportunities for students entering high-demand transportation careers.

Thank you Governor DeSantis for supporting workforce education and students in Bradford County.

🚁 Hands-On Learning Takes Flight! 🚁

Today, students in North Florida Technical College’s (NFTC) Criminal Justice program, hosted at Bradford Middle School, had an incredible opportunity as the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office Air Unit visited campus for a talk and live helicopter demonstration.

Students learned firsthand how aviation supports law enforcement operations, search and rescue, public safety, and emergency response. Seeing the helicopter up close—and hearing directly from the professionals who fly and operate it—connected classroom instruction to real-world careers in criminal justice and public safety.

A huge thank you to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office Air Unit for investing in our students and supporting career-focused education through NFTC. Experiences like this truly inspire the next generation of public safety professionals! 🚓🚁

Congratulations to all of the Teachers of the Year and School Related Employees of the year from Bradford County Schools. NFTC would like to especially congratulate and brag on our two candidates SRO and Criminal Justice teacher David Bukowski and, the glue that holds our campus together, Aleta Durant!
