Some of our outstanding male cadets had the honor of showing their support at Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day 🇺🇸

These young men stood with pride and respect as we recognized the bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of our Vietnam veterans. It was a powerful moment of reflection and gratitude, reminding us all of the importance of honoring those who paved the way for our freedoms.

We are incredibly proud of our cadets for stepping up, representing our program with class, and taking the time to learn from and appreciate our nation’s heroes.

To all Vietnam veterans — we see you, we thank you, and we honor you. ❤️🤍💙

Yesterday, a few of our outstanding young ladies from 1st Platoon had the opportunity to step outside the gates and give back through S2C (Service to Community) at Feeding Northeast Florida.

With teamwork, compassion, and a servant’s heart, they dedicated their time to helping fight hunger and support families in need across our community. Opportunities like this not only allow our cadets to serve others, but also help build character, responsibility, and a deeper sense of purpose.

We are incredibly proud of these young women for representing our program with excellence and for showing what it truly means to give back.

💪🏽 Service. Leadership. Growth.

This past weekend, a few of our ORS cadets were held accountable for their actions under the direction of our Commandant, CMS Killian.

Through C.A.P.E. (Corrective Action Through Physical Exercise), these cadets were given an opportunity to reflect, reset, and refocus. Discipline is never about punishment alone—it’s about growth, responsibility, and building the mental and physical toughness needed to succeed.

At Florida Youth Challenge Academy, we believe in showing both the highlights and the hard moments, because real change happens when accountability meets guidance.

We’re proud of these cadets for pushing through, learning from their mistakes, and continuing their journey toward becoming better versions of themselves.

🎉 Cadet of the Month Recognition 🎉

Please join us in congratulating Cadet Reed for being selected as our Cadet of the Month here at the Florida Youth Challenge Academy! 👏

This recognition is awarded to a cadet who consistently demonstrates dedication, discipline, leadership, and a commitment to personal growth. Cadet Reed has shown outstanding effort in the program, setting a positive example for fellow cadets and embracing the core values we strive to instill every day.

As part of this well-earned recognition, Cadet Reed gets to enjoy a special day all to himself! Today he gets to eat what he wants, watch movies all day, play video games, make phone calls, and simply relax and enjoy the fruits of his labor. It’s a small way for us to recognize the hard work and positive attitude he has brought to the program.

Through determination and perseverance, Cadet Reed continues to prove what it means to rise to the challenge. We are proud of the progress he has made and look forward to seeing all that he will continue to accomplish.

Keep up the great work, Cadet Reed! Your FLYCA family and friends is proud of you. 💪

Attention FLYCA Families

We want to inform our families that the internet service at the academy is currently down. Unfortunately, because of this outage, our 3rd Platoon cadets will not be able to make their scheduled phone calls today.

We understand how important these calls are for both our cadets and their families, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding while this issue is being resolved.

Once service is restored, 3rd Platoon cadets will make their phone calls tomorrow at their regular scheduled time.

Thank you for your continued support of our cadets and the Florida Youth Challenge Academy.

Recently, our cadets were out in the community on a service to community project, and it meant more than just getting hours in.

It was about learning to show up, give back, and take pride in doing something bigger than yourself. These moments build character and remind our cadets that they are part of something greater than just their own story.

Proud of the work they put in! 👊🏾

This past Saturday, we wrapped up our final mentor training meeting here at FLYCA—and it was powerful. 💪🏽

Mentors play a huge role in the success of our cadets. They’re not just there to give advice—they’re there to listen, to encourage, to challenge, and to show our cadets what consistency, accountability, and belief in someone really looks like.

For many of our cadets, a mentor can be the difference between giving up and pushing forward. It’s about having someone in your corner who sees your potential even when you don’t see it yourself.

We’re grateful for every mentor who has stepped up to invest their time, energy, and heart into our young people. The impact you make goes way beyond this program—you’re helping shape futures. 🙌🏽
