What a BLAZING good way to wrap up Fire Safety Week! 🔥🚒

A huge thank you to the Starbuck Fire Department for visiting the center and teaching our little ones all about fire safety! The kids learned how to stay safe, and then the best part: they got to climb in and explore the real fire trucks!

Big smiles, big questions, and a whole lot of “WOW!” 😄 We are so grateful for the Starbuck Fire Department for all they do for our community and for making this lesson one the kids won’t forget!

🔥 Our preschool teacher, Ms. Desi, goes ALL OUT for her theme weeks, and this week did not disappoint! 🚒

We're learning about fire safety, and Ms. Desi had our little firefighters-in-training practicing how to STOP, DROP, & ROLL! 🛑⬇️Watching these tiny heroes wiggle and roll across the floor was the cutest thing ever!

Thank you, Ms. Desi, for making learning so fun and keeping our kiddos safe! 👩‍🚒❤️

Big shout out to Ms. Laura for revamping our combination/ gross motor space! We use this space for drop off before 7:30 am and pickup after 4:00 pm- when the classrooms combine. We also use it for a gross motor space when the weather is not cooperating with us!

Sensory play at its best! Our young toddlers had a blast exploring Jello this morning, squishing, squeezing, giggling, and a whole lot of concentration. Messy play helps little ones build fine motor skills, curiosity, and language as they discover new textures. We love watching them learn through play!

Want your toddler to join in the fun? We have openings for children 16 months to 33 months!

🌟 Exciting News for Our Families! 🌟

Today we submitted our application for a 4-Star Parent Aware rating! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

For years, our program, going all the way back to Kingdom Kids, has never been rated higher than 2 stars. Now that Minnwaska Area School District has taken over management, we're setting higher goals for our children, families, and staff and this is the first big step.

Why does a 4-Star Parent Aware rating matter?

⭐ Proven quality: Parent Aware is Minnesota's quality rating system for child care. A 4-star rating is the highest level and shows a program meets rigorous standards.

⭐ Kindergarten readiness: 4-star programs use research-based curriculum and track each child's growth so they're ready for school.

⭐ Highly trained teachers: Staff complete ongoing professional development to provide the best care and learning.

⭐ Financial help for families: Highly rated programs may help families qualify for funding such as Early Learning Scholarships or CCAP.

We're so proud of our staff and so grateful to our families for being part of this journey.

We are so excited for this milestone for the child care center. This project represents so much more than a new building- it reflects our community’s commitment to supporting children, families, and the future of early childhood education in Pope County.

We would love the community to come help us celebrate with us!
