🥒 When life gives you cucumbers… MAKE PICKLES! 🥒

Back in June, our Summer Nature Camp kiddos planted cucumbers—and now those little seeds of hard work have officially come full circle… and gotten a little salty! 😂

Our 5th & 6th graders harvested the cucumbers and got to work making their very own pickles. From garden to jar, students experienced firsthand how something they planted in the summer can turn into something delicious in the fall! 🌱➡️🥒➡️🫙

Last week, 5-6th grade students applied their critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills in a math-focused breakoutedu!

What’s a Breakout Edu? It’s a box with several locks teachers set up and leave clues around the room. Students have to solve all the locks within a given amount of time. It allows us to turn any room into a breakout room!!

While they weren’t successful, they did an amazing job unlocking all but one lock. We will try again on Friday!! Stay tuned to see if they are successful or not!!

📢🐸Second Annual Frog Races🐸📢

Yep, you read that right! Who knew something that started randomly last year would become tradition!

5-6th grade students used frogs to inspire creativity—they named their frogs, identified them, and used their frog as part of a creative writing piece. The best part of all—with our toadally cool friends—frog races during morning assembly! No frogs were harmed during these activities…just pure joy had by all!

Aloha Glacial Hills Family and Friends!

🌟 Celebrating Great Behavior & Leadership! 🌟
We’re kicking off the school year by celebrating some of our students who are already showing what it means to be a great leader!

During the first week and a half of school, we selected 10 students from each recess group who demonstrated outstanding behavior, positive leadership, kindness, and responsibility. As a special reward, these students got to spend recess in our Outdoor Learning Center with Mrs. Lund! 🌿🦋

We are so proud of these students for setting a positive example for others.

We certainly missed our kids over the summer, and having them back in our building has reminded us just how much joy, energy, laughter, and purpose they bring to our lives each and every day. ❤️

From learning and exploring to creating, collaborating, playing, and simply enjoying being together, our students were BUSY making the most of their first week!

Our childcare staff have been busy updating and refreshing our classrooms, and next up is one of our busiest, most curious spaces—our Toddler Room! 💛

We’ve added and refreshed new learning centers designed especially for toddlers, giving our little explorers plenty of opportunities to play, discover, create, and learn. From hands-on activities to imaginative play, these spaces are designed to encourage curiosity, independence, and those important early learning skills! 🌈🧩📚

And just like every classroom, the heart of our toddler program is our amazing, dedicated staff. Our teachers create a warm, nurturing environment where toddlers feel safe, supported, and excited to learn each day. ❤️

🍼✨ ROOM SPOTLIGHT: OUR INFANT ROOM! ✨🍼

Our childcare staff have been busy refreshing, updating, and preparing our spaces to make sure they meet the needs of every child in our care—and today, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on our Infant Room! 💛

Our infant space is thoughtfully arranged with the needs of our littlest learners in mind, creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where babies can learn, explore, grow, and thrive. 🌱

But a great space is only part of what makes our infant program special. We are incredibly fortunate to have amazing, dedicated staff who pour their hearts into providing nurturing, responsive, and high-quality care for our youngest children. ❤️

👶 We currently have TWO infant openings beginning July 2027!
