The Garden Club wrapped up a wonderful year with a special project on the school grounds! 🌳

Students joined Miss Reid, Mrs. Frizzell, and Mr. LeRoux Johnson to plant trees that will be enjoyed by students and staff for years to come. After all their hard work, the group celebrated with ice cream sundaes and some well-deserved playground time. 🍨🎉

We are so proud of all the Garden Club members for their enthusiasm, teamwork, and dedication throughout the year. Thank you for helping make our school and community a little greener!

From pre-k to graduation day 🎓

Our youngest learners joined our graduating seniors for one of our favorite school traditions. As the seniors walked the halls in their caps and gowns, our pre-k students got a glimpse of what lies ahead. Congratulations to the class of 2026!

Our Valedictorian, Ryanna Todd, and Salutatorian, Marie Folsom, were recognized at the St. Lawrence-Lewis Counties School Boards Association Senior Recognition Ceremony. This special event celebrates the academic achievements, dedication, and hard work of the top graduating students from school districts across St. Lawrence and Lewis Counties.

CFCSD’s Mabel Peabody was recognized this evening by the Clifton-Fine Lions Club Chapter for her many years of dedication and support of the Lion’s Club High School Senior Scholarship Program.

We are so very proud of her commitment along side the local Lions Club to benefit the youth of our community!

The CFCS Fitness Center received some updates this spring, and we’re excited to share the refreshed space with our students, staff, and community members!

The Fitness Center is open:
• School Days: 5:00 AM–8:00 AM and 5:00 PM-10:00 PM
• Weekends & School Breaks: 5:00 AM–10:00 PM

Interested in getting access? Community members can stop by the District Office to complete an application and receive a key fob for entry.

Our Garden Club students enjoyed a field trip to The Giving Garden today, where they planted some of the vegetables and flowers they started here at school!

The students worked hard, learned valuable gardening skills, and helped support a wonderful community project. We are proud of their dedication and teamwork! 🌱💚

Now that we have celebrated all our senior spring sport student athletes, we want to take one more moment to recognize our seniors from Baseball, Softball, and Golf. ⚾🥎⛳

We would also like to recognize our golf seniors from neighboring districts who were part of our combined program this season. Thank you for representing your schools and being part of Clifton-Fine athletics this spring.

We are proud of everything you’ve accomplished both on and off the field, course, and diamond. Wishing all of our seniors the very best in whatever comes next!

Congratulations, Ryanna! You make us Eagle Proud!

Ryanna Todd, daughter of James and Jenna Todd, has been selected as the Career and Technical Education Student of the Month at Southwest Tech (SLL BOCES) for May 2026.
Ryanna is a senior at Clifton-Fine Central School and is enrolled in the Metalworking II program at the Southwest Career & Technical Education Center.
Ryanna is an inspiration to both her classmates and teachers. She is an extremely hardworking student who consistently takes on responsibilities and projects without hesitation. She has earned her DOT certification in metalworking and has competed in SkillsUSA competitions during both her junior and senior years, placing second in New York State as a junior.
In addition to her academic achievements, Ryanna is highly involved in both her school and community. At Southwest Tech, she serves as a student ex-officio board member for SLL BOCES, vice president of SkillsUSA, and a member of the National Technical Honor Society. At Clifton-Fine Central School, she serves as class president, student council secretary, Drama Club treasurer, Language Club vice president, Music Club treasurer, and Yearbook vice president. She is also involved in Impetus, Jazz Band, Envirothon, and Newspaper Club, while participating in softball, golf, basketball, and volleyball. In the community, Ryanna serves as captain of the Star Lake Junior Firefighters.
The Student of the Month award is sponsored by the Gouverneur Chamber of Commerce and recognizes students whose efforts and accomplishments are of the highest caliber.

Congratulations, Carson! You make us Eagle Proud!

Carson LeRoux, son of Majonica Drake and Edward Drake, has been selected as the Career and Technical Education Student of the Month at Southwest Tech (SLL BOCES) for May 2026.
Carson is a senior at Clifton-Fine Central School and is enrolled in the Professions in Education II program at the Southwest Career & Technical Education Center.
Known for his kind and conscientious nature, Carson is also recognized as a gregarious, intelligent, and affable student. He is a strong collaborator and communicator who has developed a passion for pursuing a career in special education.
In addition to his academic achievements, Carson is actively involved in athletics at Clifton-Fine, participating in soccer, basketball, and baseball. He also serves his community as a junior firefighter with the Star Lake Fire Department.
Following graduation, Carson plans to attend SUNY Plattsburgh to study special education.
