Some of the best training happens outside of the spotlight 💖

At Amanda Magee Performance Horses, we’ve worked hard to create an environment where our trainers learn from one another, support one another, and ultimately work toward the same goal; doing what’s best for our horses and riders.

For Amanda, that also means sharing her knowledge with the next generation of professionals. Helping young trainers develop their skills, confidence, and horsemanship is just as important as developing the horses themselves.

We celebrated three exciting new partnerships at the Star Spangled Classic 💖

Norah Lane debuted with her new partner, Thatz A Sensation, while Ava Bucklin & Henry Higgins and Ashlyn Kukuk & Too Good For Roses joined us for their first horse show as part of Amanda Magee Performance Horses.

We’re so proud of each of these teams and can’t wait to watch these partnerships continue to grow. Here’s to the first of many great shows together!

⭐️ Star Spangled Classic recap continued ⭐️

🏆 Zoey Knight & Only Lopin
Zoey had a fantastic weekend, highlighted by a win in Hunt Seat Equitation and earning Reserve High Point Novice Youth. She also brought home top placings with a 2nd in Trail, 2nd in Western Pleasure, 3rd in Hunter Under Saddle, along with top-six finishes in Horsemanship, Youth Performance Halter Geldings, and Trail.

🏆 Emilee LeDoux & A Special Work of Art
What an unforgettable weekend for Emilee and “Art!” They were crowned High Point Champion 13 & Under and High Point Champion Novice Youth after an incredible all-around performance. They finished 1st overall in 13 & Under Hunter Under Saddle, Novice Youth Hunt Seat Equitation, 13 & Under Hunt Seat Equitation, Novice Youth Trail, Novice Youth Showmanship, Showmanship, 13 & Under Western Pleasure, and 13 & Under Horsemanship. They also earned 2nd overall in 13 & Under Western Pleasure and 13 & Under Horsemanship, along with 3rd overall finishes in Novice Youth Hunter Under Saddle, 13 & Under Hunter Under Saddle, Novice Youth Western Pleasure, and 13 & Under Trail.

Another fun weekend with our Amanda Magee Performance Horses crew! We are so proud of the hard work our horses and riders put in, and it showed in the results. Here are just some of the show results from our show team:

🏆 Lily Matter & Parties All The Time
A fantastic weekend highlighted by wins in 5-10 Trail, 5-10 Showmanship, 5-10 Hunter Under Saddle, and Open Overo Color, along with multiple Reserve Champion finishes in Hunter Under Saddle, Equitation, Horsemanship, and Showmanship. Lily also earned top placings in Western Pleasure, Youth Color, and Performance Geldings.

🏆 Lauren Reeves & Never Go Out of Style
An incredible Reserve High Point finish after earning class wins in Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle, and Youth Mare Halter, plus top placings throughout the weekend with 2nds in Trail, Horsemanship, and Hunt Seat Equitation, and ribbons in Western Pleasure.

🏆 Emma Matter & Smore Assets Please
Emma had a consistent weekend, earning an Open Tobiano Color win, along with top-5 finishes in 18 & Under Equitation, Novice Youth Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Showmanship, Youth Color, Performance Geldings, and Hunter Under Saddle.

🏆 Ever Moore & The Draft Pick
Ever put together another impressive all-around performance with four class wins in Hunt Seat Equitation and Horsemanship, plus multiple 2nd-4th place finishes in Hunter Under Saddle, Western Pleasure, and Horsemanship throughout both shows.

There’s something really special about raising your daughter at horse shows 💖 She gets to grow up surrounded by incredible horses, but the greatest gift is the people. She’s being raised by a village of strong, kind, hardworking women. She has older girls to look up to, students who adore her, and horse show moms who love her like one of their own.

Watching Piper grow up alongside all of you has been one of the greatest gifts of this journey 🤠
