Today is Su***de Prevention Day, part of National Su***de Prevention Week and Su***de Prevention Month.
It’s an important reminder that no one has to navigate a difficult moment alone. If you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of su***de, a mental health crisis, or emotional distress, help is available 24 hours a day, every day.
Call or text 988 to connect with the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. Trained crisis counselors are available to listen, provide support, and connect people with resources.
For our students and families, support can also begin right here in our community. We compiled mental health, crisis, basic-needs, and other community resources in one place, including Teen Link, Hear Me WA, 211, and our district Student Support Advocates: https://www.stanwood.wednet.edu/for-students-families/community-resources
Asking for help matters. Checking in with someone matters. Knowing where to turn matters.
