2026 4-H Day at the Nebraska State Fair
Celebrate the people and experiences that help Nebraska youth become Beyond Ready at 4-H Day at the Nebraska State Fair on Sunday, August 30, from 2–4 p.m. in Raising Nebraska! Enjoy interactive activities, a 4-H photo booth, complimentary UNL Dairy Store ice cream (while supplies last), and help recognize outstanding volunteers and members of the Nebraska 4‑H Leadership Academy during the 3 p.m. program. 🍀 2026 Friends of 4-H Recipients 🍀

Each year, we have the opportunity to recognize individuals and organizations who go above and beyond to support our 4-H program and the youth in our community.

This year, we were proud to recognize Joyce Kment and the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office as our Friends of 4-H recipients! 💚

Their continued support, encouragement, and willingness to lend a hand make a difference in our 4-H program. It truly takes a community to make 4-H successful, and we are incredibly thankful to have people like Joyce and the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office cheering on our youth and supporting everything we do.

🐄🐖🐑 Livestock Judging was one for the books! 🐐

What a fantastic turnout we had for our Livestock Judging Contest on Saturday during the fair! It was great to see so many youth putting their judging skills to the test, but we also loved seeing so many adults step into the ring for a little friendly competition.

One of the highlights each year is our traveling G.O.A.T. Trophy—the Greatest Of All Time award! 🏆🐐 Bragging rights are on the line, and the trophy gets to travel home with this year's champion until it's time to defend the title again next year. This year's winner was Tony Charron!!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, helped organize, judged, and supported the contest. Seeing multiple generations enjoying agriculture together is what makes events like this so special.

Congratulations to all of our participants, and we'll see everyone back next year to find out who will be the next G.O.A.T.! 🏆💚🐄

📸 We were having so much fun during the fair that we forgot to stop and take many photos! 😅

Thankfully, the Stanton Register was there to capture so many great moments throughout the week. We are incredibly grateful for all the time and effort they put into documenting our 4-H members, volunteers, and events.

After Mother Nature hit pause on Thursday, we were back to finish what we started! Our 4-H horse exhibitors wrapped up the remaining events with Reining, Poles, and Barrels, and they did an incredible job.

Thank you to all of our exhibitors, families, volunteers, and judges for your patience and flexibility with the rain delay. We appreciate everyone sticking with us to make sure these kids had the opportunity to finish strong.

Congratulations to all of our riders! We loved seeing your hard work, determination, and sportsmanship shine through in the arena. 🐎💚
