Mind over matter! Don’t let another day go by not chasing your dreams. Don’t limit yourself, rise to your full potential
Lately I’ve been feeling myself beginning to stress. Classes have been a struggle, and having them online makes them even more annoying. Not to mention this weather has already being to flare up my lupus, and I’ve been in extreme pain, so it was a must for some self love and me time. But it wouldn’t have been complete without this bomb a** spa bath my sister and mom demanded I take. Now I’m super relaxed and recharged 😊❤️ **klupus

Sorry I know I’ve been a little MIA, but during the quarantine I’ve been focused! As you may know, in the middle of the semester I decided to drop all my classes due to me getting sick with pneumonia ,but it didn’t sit right with me. I knew I had the strength to continue, and with the blessing of my professors I knew I could catch up and hand in all missed material and I DID ! I decided to keep 3 out of 4 of my class and was able to catch up and pass all my classes with Bs.
CHEERS 🥂 TO THE END OF THE FIRST SEMESTER OF NURSING SCHOOL.
Looking forward to next semester and I promise to bring more content!

Hey ❤️ As some of you may know I’ve been in the hospital off and on for the past month, but I’m home now and feeling much better.
With having lupus everything is spontaneous when it comes to my health. With that being said, I spontaneously developed a pseudo aneurysm in the groin and need a stint placed in that artery and was sent home. The next day I developed a hematoma in the same place and had to go back to the hospital. After 3 days was sent back home. That’s following day started running a fever, right back to the hospital I go, but this time no one knew the cause of the fever, so what did they do send me home. Was doing good for a about a week. Then, another fever, but this time I couldn’t breath and it would hurt to take deep breaths, so back to the hospital I go. To find that it’s pneumonia, after a week I’m better and back home.
All I could question is how and what about school. I had already missed 3 weeks of material and two test. I blamed myself for a while and was only focused on making up my work and not falling behind in my classes, but wasn’t worrying about my health.
I started to battle with what was more important. I felt I was well enough to make up all missed work and still stay on track with new material, but it became overwhelming, so I’ve decided to put school on hold for this semester. It was the HARDEST thing for me to do, but it had to be done. I didn’t want to stress myself out trying to rush and make up material and end up potential causing myself more harm due to stress. My number one priority is taking care of myself.
On top of that, this is a crucial time in the world and this virus is scary. (Being immunocompromised puts me more at risk to catching this virus). We have to take everything and everyone into consideration, so no matter what you feel like you’re losing out on or missing out on your health is more important. STAY HOME!
P.S this is NOT the end of my page.

Here’s to surviving the first week of nursing school. Even though it’s only the first week, getting used to a new environment, new people, and new computer systems can be a bit difficult especially when your nerves are running at an all time high. But I must say I’ve learned my away around Canvas and ATI, and feel like I can know keep track of where I need to be in each class. I’ve already completed my first assignments, so it safe to say I’m all ready for what the rest of the semester has to bring.
