Leadership Intensive (LEAD) offers rising juniors a unique and immersive study of the complexities of leadership through a 3-week residential summer program just before the start of fall quarter. The program is characterized by an atmosphere of intense exploration of one’s own leadership skills and abilities and participation in a strong community committed to helping each other develop their own
unique potential. In plenary sessions, innovators from on and off campus will share concepts and strategies that help leaders foster effective change. Beginning with its inaugural class in September 2014, LEAD will accept 24 students to participate. This program is ideal for all, whether one plans to work in the public or private sector, domestically or abroad, for a large company or a small non-profit. The skills gained will help everyone achieve their goals and enlist others along the way. Following the program, we will help you to construct your customized pathway through Stanford via internships, capstones, and even the awarding of grants to assist with your own project. Advising, activities and weekly seminars will be available throughout your junior and senior years, allowing your cohort to continue to learn from each other and build on the skills acquired during the program.
