Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Bradley Volleyball Camp!

We had a packed two days of great work in the gym, competing, learning, and building our volleyball skills. Athletes also took part in two classroom sessions focused on mindset, preparation, and the habits needed to continue growing as a player and teammate.

A huge thank you to Bradley Head Coach Alicia and Assistant Coach Will for sharing their knowledge, passion, and experience with our athletes. We are excited to continue building on these lessons throughout the upcoming season!

Fall activities are fast approaching. Please remember to register at https://schools.snap.app/OlympiaHS and have a current physical turned in. MS Softball starts July 27. MS Baseball starts Aug. 3. MS Cross Country starts Aug. 3. HS Football start Aug. 5th. All other high school fall sports start Aug. 10th.

If you have been considering joining the team this is a great opportunity to try it out. The workout will be modified to fit all levels.

Several members of our OHS cross country team were out running on their own in the Reid Nannen 5K in Hopedale on the Fourth of July. It was the largest race turnout on the 10th anniversary of this local event, with 400 runners! Congratulations to all of them on a great run, with a special shoutout to junior Mira Kistner for placing 1st for her female age group. As well as Coach Krehbiel for placing first in her female age group and Coach Collins for placing 2nd in his male age group. The 2026 XC season will be starting before we know it and we are looking forward to a great one!

One of Olympia's own is featured in the playbills on Broadway this summer! Carin Folkens, a Sophomore at Olympia High School, submitted artwork for a fan art contest and was chosen as a top ten finalist! The contest asked artists to design and submit art for the playbill of the Broadway musical, The Outsiders. All top ten finalists are being showcased in the playbills that are printed for performances on Broadway this summer. What a great achievement, way to go Carin!

Independence in action! The Olympia Transition Program just wrapped up an amazing final two weeks of ESY. Our students took charge of meal prep from start to finish:
📝 Choosing a recipe & researching ingredients
🛒 Budgeting and shopping at the grocery store
👩‍🍳 Prepping and making the snacks this week!
Practice makes perfect, and these students are mastering their community and independent living skills. So proud of their hard work! 🎉

Congratulations to Ethan Barnes and Mason Kruger who both competed in the Midwest Golf Showcase hosted at Winding Ridge Golf Club in Indianapolis this past Tuesday.
This Showcase takes some of the best golfers from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Michigan and has them compete in a competitive 18 holes match with a chance to make the cut and play a second 18 on Day 2. Ethan was 1 stroke off of making the cut shooting a 79 (+7) and Mason Kruger shot an 85 (+13). Both boys played really well and this upcoming season should be very exciting. Go Spartans!

There’s something special about seeing our gym filled with the next generation of Spartans.

Over the past two days, our Little Spartans Volleyball Camp brought together young athletes eager to learn, grow, and have fun. From learning new skills to making new friends, the energy and excitement in the gym was contagious.

A special thank you goes to our high school players who volunteered their time to lead, encourage, and invest in these young campers. The relationships built between our current players and future Spartans are what make our volleyball program and community so special.

We are grateful for the families who entrusted us with their athletes this week and for everyone who helped make camp a success. The future of Spartan Volleyball is bright, and we can't wait to watch these young athletes continue to grow.

Day 1 of HS Cross Country Camp was a success. This group traveled to Farmdale Reservoir for a 4.5 mile trail run. The weather and scenery were perfect!
