We invite you to join us for the first weekly OMAC Coffee Chat of the Spring ‘21 quarter. We will be welcoming Anthony Garcia as our special guest. A St. Mary’s University, and Cornell University (MBA) alum, he’s also a former U.S. Army MEDEVAC pilot, he’s the founder and CEO of several companies including his latest, Purepost, Inc., and he’s an incredible advocate for PTSD awareness. We are excited to announce that Tim Hsia (Stanford JD/MBA ‘14) will be joining us for our Community Coffee Chat tomorrow Friday, 3/12 from 10:30am-11:30am (PST

Tim Hsia is a West Point '04 grad (where he double majored in Environmental Engineering and Military History) and commissioned as an infantry officer in the US Army. Tim deployed twice to Iraq while on active duty. Tim left active duty in 2010 to attend Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and Law School. In 2014 he received a JD and MBA from Stanford. He was a ROTC instructor for Stanford cadets while in grad school. Tim is the founder of Context Ventures and Media Mobilize. He is a cofounder and board member at Service to School and is a board member at the Marines Memorial Association (Club & Hotel).

The Stanford Military-Affiliated Community is invited to attend Above and Beyond the Call of Duty: A Conversation with World War II Veteran and Medal of Honor Recipient Hershel "Woody" Williams on Monday, March 8th at 6:00pm PST.

Mr. Williams is a 97-year-old Marine and World War II veteran who is one of two living Medal of Honor Recipients from World War II and the only living Medal of Honor Recipient from the Battle of Iwo Jima.

Mr. Williams will deliver a talk on the importance of bravery, courage, sacrifice, and integrity followed by a Q&A session.

Our next info-session on the 21st of February will include previous panelists Alice Petty, Joel Johnson, Ting Wong, and Josh Davenport, as well as new panelist Trenton Hicks. Trenton is a U.S. Army veteran, where he served as a Signals Intelligence Specialist. His major is undeclared. Fun fact about Trenton: He has never played a round of golf without losing all of his balls.
