SPARK will be hosting an autism seminar in Oakland, CA - SPARK in the Community: Autism Research Seminar - on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from10am-2pm PST at Merritt College, 12600 Campus Drive. Our goal is to invite those families impacted by autism who would benefit from learning more about autism advocacy, autism research as well as other resources available for this community. We have several speakers including Christina Ardel and Stephanie Brogno, Stanford University School of Medicine; Mizpah Brown-Rich, founder of Joshua's Gift Foundation; and Ben Murray, a participant in the SPARK research study. Want to contribute to the advancement of sleep medicine? Stanford researchers are currently recruiting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to participate in an observational sleep study, and we could use your help!

Our study involves in-person cognitive & behavioral assessments, an in-home two-night sleep monitoring session (polysomnography), daytime EEG, and more. You may be eligible if your child:
⭐ Is between the ages of 4 and 17 years old
⭐ Has no medical, psychiatric, or genetic diagnoses
⭐ Is English or Spanish speaking
⭐ Is located in the Bay Area

Upon completion of this study, you can receive a research sleep study report and behavioral testing summary (upon request) and reimbursement up to $200.

We are seeking families interested in supporting research and early language development.

Stanford Medicine is recruiting children with autism (ages 2–4) for a language treatment study exploring how brain imaging may help predict response to Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT).

Participants will:
• Complete an MRI during natural sleep
• Take part in a 16-week parent training program
• Receive study-related evaluations at no cost

Super Fest teaches sports skills for each person at their level. The skills-based clinic culminates in an activity such as a football game-day experience, featuring the national anthem, football players running through a cheerleading tunnel, football scrimmages, and cheer performances, or a basketball scrimmage.
