Bing Celebrated its 60th Anniversary on February 28, 2026 with a Research Panel and an Open House. We are so fortunate to have heard from such distinguished scholars and reconnected with former teachers, researchers, students, and families. What a day of celebration!

Our Research Panel featured (from left to right) Professors Michael Frank, Carol Dweck, Hyowon Gweon, Eve Clark, and Ellen Markman. It was moderated by Professor Laura Carstensen (left) with a wonderful introduction by H&S Dean Debra Satz.

The Open House was a wonderful gathering of former families, teachers, and researchers. Thank you all for joining in the fun!

Within our reasonable, safe boundaries (YES spaces recommended!), play can be an area of our child's day that they completely own.

The benefits are enormous!

PS: I'm just finishing up a draft of the section on play for my upcoming book, so this topic is very much on my mind! And it feels to me like such a big and important topic, that it's almost going to be like a book within a book. 😅
