Join Stanford International Policy Review (SIPR) as we launch the call for submissions for a new journal issue, themed “The Roaring Twenties? Challenges, and Opportunities for an Uncertain Decade”. As part of the launch, SIPR will hold a panel surveying major issues that will likely be at the forefront of the policy conversation over the next 10 years. This event will bring together perspectives from experts across a range of fields, including in food, information technologies, biotech, and AI. Panel speakers include Rosamond Naylor, Founding Director of Center on Food Security and the Environment; Elena Cryst, Assistant Director of Stanford Internet Observatory, Megan Palmer, Executive Director of Bio Policy & Leadership Initiatives, and Tina Huang, Policy Program Manager at Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI. More information on how to submit written works to the SIPR forum and the SIPR journal will also be provided at the event.

Time and Location: Tuesday, November 16th, 1pm - 2pm PST, at the Philippines Room, 3rd Floor (Rm 301), Encina Hall.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: SIPR is now accepting articles for consideration in our spring 2021 Print Issue.

The Stanford International Policy Review invites submissions from graduate students, policy practitioners, academics, and other professionals for its spring 2021 peer-reviewed print issue. SIPR publishes two issues per year, in the winter and in the spring. SIPR publishes articles, commentary, policy memos and issue briefs, as well as book reviews on international policy topics.

The spring 2021 issue theme is The Future of Internationalism. SIPR seeks articles that offer insightful policy analysis addressing the fissures and opportunities of the current international system. We invite authors to consider topics like the post-pandemic liberal international order, the United Nations at its 75th anniversary, and shared global challenges (e.g., climate change, terrorism, and technological governance).

Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Articles submitted before March 15th will receive priority consideration for our spring issue. SIPR will cover the submission fee for the first 100 submissions. After that, the authors will be responsible for a $10 submission fee.

The Stanford International Policy Review has officially released its 2020 Fall Edition!

In this publication, authors examine issues including reform for the World Health Organization; modern Great Power dynamics; the Biden Presidency & Ukraine; COVID-19 financial relief programs in the U.K.; the future of Hong Kong property law; and President López Obrador's peace plan for Mexico.

SIPR publishes cutting-edge policy analysis on topics spanning political economy, security, energy, public health, democracy, and development policy on a bi-annual basis. Our authors provide insights, commentary, and practical solutions to pressing global challenges, drawing on their diverse academic backgrounds.

The Stanford International Policy Review officially released its 2020 Spring Edition (Vol 5. Issue 1) this week! SIPR publishes cutting-edge policy analysis on topics spanning political economy, security, energy, public health, democracy, and development policy. Our authors provide insights, commentary, and practical solutions to pressing global challenges, drawing on their diverse academic backgrounds.

This issue covers a wide range of topics, from an op-ed piece on why the United States needs international observers during its 2020 presidential election to an analysis of European Union religious slaughter bans.
