There is a ESL (English as a Second Language) class in Ferguson Library. If any of you want to practice your conversational English, you can go there. Some literary volunteers will be there to help you. This class is on every Tuesday night from 6:30pm to 8:00pm (or 8:30) on the third floor of the library.

Alternative Spring Break: Gulf Coast Restoration

Trip Dates: March 14th – 22nd, 2015
We are happy to be partnering with the Office of Community Outreach once again to provide opportunities for Stamford Students to participate in an Alternative Spring Break experience.
Trip Description: During this week long alternative break students will be staying at Heritage United Methodist Church in Biloxi, Mississippi. Students will immerse themselves in the community by working with Habitat for Humanity and other organizations as well as each other to aid in restoration. Participants will discuss social issues in the community and reflect on how to apply them to the global society.
Estimated Cost: $520.00 – Stamford Student Services may fund 50% if eligible
Trip Size: 54 Total people- 40 Storrs participants, 5 Stamford Students, 2 student leaders, 3 team leaders and 4 professional staff
