We are so thankful for another wonderful school year! As is our tradition, we celebrated with Family Day, which brought students, parents, faculty, and staff together for an afternoon filled with faith, friendship, and fun. Families enjoyed a delicious barbecue, exciting games for children and adults, lots of laughter, and the joy of spending time together as a school community. Wishing all our families a safe, happy, and blessed summer. We look forward to seeing you again in the new school year!

Our students recently took center stage and brought various stories to life through their incredible drama performances! Each production showcased creativity, confidence, teamwork, and the unique talents of our students. We celebrate opportunities for our students to grow not only academically but also artistically, developing their God-given gifts while building character and self-confidence. Congratulations to all our young actresses on these wonderful performances!

On May 29, our school community gathered for a beautiful and reverent procession, followed by the crowning of Mary, honoring her as our Mother and Queen. This cherished tradition reminds us of Mary's faithful "yes" to God and her special role in guiding us closer to her Son. The celebration culminated with Holy Mass, where we joined together in prayer and thanksgiving, asking for Mary's intercession for our school, our families, and our world.

This week we showcased the incredible talent of our middle and high school students at our inaugural Art Exhibit! Throughout the year, our young artists have explored a variety of techniques, mediums, and artistic styles, developing their skills while expressing their unique perspectives and God-given creativity. We are so proud of the beautiful work they created!

Many graces were poured upon our students that recently received the sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion. On Friday evening, our 8th graders had the privilege of receiving the sacrament of Confirmation from Most Reverend Frank J. Caggiano. May the gifts of the Holy Spirit lead them towards wisdom, joy, and purpose! On Saturday our 2nd Graders received Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time. It was very moving to see their reverence and joy throughout the Mass. We ask our Blessed Mother, Mater Salvatoris, to take care of them.

Last week was Spirit Week - a week filled with faith, fun, laughter, and unforgettable school spirit! From themed dress days to exciting activities and friendly competition, our students and staff truly showed what it means to be part of the Mater Salvatoris family. Spirit Week ended with Mater Salvatoris Day festivities - an all-school rosary, singing songs to our Blessed Mother, Mary, then crafts, bouncy houses and water games!

This week we welcomed parents to our annual History Fair! Our students became active historians, researching and creating engaging projects. Project based learning offers in-depth understanding of historical context beyond the classroom. Our students outdo themselves each year!

Last Sunday was our annual Romería, or pilgrimage, for our Mater Salvatoris and Stella Maris families. This is a day our families look forward to each year, coming together as a community to pray, have a procession and celebrate Mass. Our bonds are further strengthened by feasting and playing games!

At Mater Salvatoris, we celebrate May with special devotion and tenderness to our Blessed Mother. This devotion is one of the foundational tenets of our schools. We encourage our students and their families during this month to imitate our Blessed Mother, to pray to have a heart like Hers, and to love and closely follow Jesus each day.
