***Many folks are confused about where J. Walter Kennedy Stadium is. That's the name of our FOOTBALL STADIUM. Your graduation is ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD, same as always.***

OFFICIALLY: ATTENTION WESTHILL SENIORS -

Due to the inclement weather for Friday and Friday night, Westhill High School will be holding our Senior Prom, "Once Upon a Hill," on the preannounced rain-date of Saturday, June 5. Prom will still take place on the football field, and from 6pm to 10pm.

All attendees must have signed up to attend with Mrs. Grant or Ms. Tobin, and filled-out a prom contract. Students must arrive by 7pm, with mask and photo ID or they will not be admitted.

In addition to the weather, given the number of attendees and the restrictions placed upon the prom by the Stamford Department of Health, prom could not be moved indoors, and so was moved to the preannounced rain-date. We'd like to acknowledge the planning and hard work of our class advisors, Mrs. Grant and Ms. Tobin, for making this change possible. Also, a big thank you to our vendors who are and remained so flexible.

***NOTE: SHS and AITE are still holding their proms Friday night.

WHS SENIORS - REGISTER for PROM! (by TUESDAY)

Hello Westhill Seniors and Families,

Senior Prom is happening!!! June 4th from 6pm - 10pm on June 4th on the Football Field, with a rain date of June 5th.

Prom starts at 6PM. There will be no entry after 7PM and students must stay until at least 9:30PM. And the best part?!?! Senior is FREE! You hear that right, FREE! However, you MUST REGISTER in advance.

In order to register, you must make sure that all obligations - overdue books, fines, devices, etc. are resolved with the Media Center. You must then fill out the Senior Prom Google Form AND hand in a printed and signed prom contract. Both can be found on the school website and in your (student) email. Students must register on Monday May 17th and Tuesday May 18th. In-person learners can come to Room 310 or Room 432 during the school day, and remote and distance learners can come to our drive-thru registration event. Details can be found in the contract. Please reach out to Ms. Grant or Ms. Tobin with any questions.

ALL 9/10/11 FAMILIES! Did you order a photo package from Lifetouch? If you have a Hybrid Viking - check their backpack! We have personally delivered almost every single one at this point! If you have a DTLA Viking - as I emailed them many times, "email me and let me know what date/time you wish to pick-up your package and I will leave it the Security desk in the main lobby - [email protected]." [email protected]. I ONLY have the packets for grades 9-11 (seniors ship home directly from Lifetouch). ***And I also put out a monthly WHS Newsletter for any parents interested in this and other info - just email me to be added!***

SENIORS - as emailed, as robocalled, as posted - TODAY, Election Day, is the FINAL DAY for Senior Yearbook Portraits. Until 5pm. All details at your school Gmail!

9th, 10th, 11th Grade STUDENTS/FAMILIES:

1) Ms. Tobin is sending out a monthly newsletter of "things to know" happening at the 'Hill for Hybrid and DTLA students/families. To sign up for it, email [email protected].

2) UNDERCLASS PORTRAITS AND IDs!!! Hybrid Blue students will receive them in English classes TOMORROW (Thursday 10/22) and Hybrid Green students will receive them in English classes on Friday (10/23).

Grade 9, 10, and 11 DTLA students and/or their families can pick up their photo proofs and ID cards TOMORROW (10/22) and FRIDAY (10/23) from the main lobby, from 8am until 3pm ONLY. ***It is strongly recommended you avoid coming from 1:45pm to 2:15pm, to avoid all the buses.*** Otherwise, you will need to schedule some other day/time to pick-up by emailing [email protected].

3) RETAKES or MAKE-UP pictures for Grades 9, 10, and 11 are Monday (10/26 - Blue) and Tuesday (10/27 - Green). Hybrid students should pick a period - like study hall, or a class they are doing extremely well in and can afford to miss 10 minutes of - and request a pass to the auditorium if they need to do a retake or make-up. These will be the ONLY retake/make-up days for Grades 9, 10, and 11.

DTLA students in grades 9, 10, or 11 wishing to do a make-up or retake photo, please come on 10/26 or 10/27, to the auditorium, hours are 7am to 4pm. Parents/family members/friends are NOT PERMITTED and must wait OUTSIDE. Per the HEALTH DEPARTMENT.

4) HOWEVER: Per the photo company, the only Grade 9, 10, and 11 students allowed on 10/26 and 10/27 are students who -
a) missed the photo dates in September/never took a picture.
b) find that their eyes are closed in their photo package
or c) PURCHASED a photo package in September and aren't happy with how the photos came out (in which case they must bring the photo package with them to "trade-in" when they go to the auditorium on Monday or Tuesday - the package given out tomorrow and Friday)
