Two of our amazing AITE students, Grace DiGiacomo and Luna Muñoz, will be taking the stage at Drop the Mic Night, a live storytelling and public speaking event hosted by SPEAC — and they’d love to see some familiar faces in the audience!

Connecticut state judge presides over AITE mock hate crime trial 01/29/2024

The students did a magnificent job today in their mock trial with Judge Lavine.

Connecticut state judge presides over AITE mock hate crime trial State Judge Douglas Levine participated in an AITE mock trial on Monday afternoon. The trial is part of a project for the AP UConn ECE American Government and Politics class.

Congratulations AITE Debaters Minh Ho and Tanisha Alilaikannan!
Minh came in 4th place at the Coolidge Cup Qualifying Tournament held at Yale University. Minh was awarded an all expenses paid trip to Vermont this Summer to compete in the Coolidge Cup Finals.
At the Connecticut Debate Association tournament held at Westhill, Tanisha won 5th speaker out of 170 competitors from across the state. She also earned a bid to the State Championship tournament in March. The motion debated was: "This House prefers that Ukraine pursue a negotiated peace with Russia."

Debate teams from AITE, Stamford High and Westhill put on an exhibition last night for State Street Debating Society at their monthly meeting. The teams debated the value of college, age limits for elected officials, and US policy towards China (AITE Seniors pictured left to right: Victoria Gibek, Michael Iacovacci, Matthew Awad, Ashlyn Rufus).

Congratulations to Ashlyn Rufus who won fourth place speaker out of 88 debaters and qualified for States at the Connecticut Debate Association’s tournament at Bethel High School Saturday. The topic debated was: “This House believes college is overvalued.”

The AITE Debate Team is partnering with Murtha Cullina law firm to present the documentary film Girl Talk at the Avon Theatre in downtown Stamford on Monday, Sept. 18th at 7 PM. Tickets are FREE for anyone affiliated with AITE or Stamford Public Schools.
