Big congratulations to Summit’s two newest brown belts.

Tyler has been with Summit since the day we opened. He just won gold in last weekend’s NoGi Pan-American championship. And he’s also an amazing coach that everyone likes and respects.

Jonathan came to Summit two years ago as a purple belt already with a high-level of JiuJitsu and has just kept improving ever since. He’s one of the most technical people in the gym both Gi and NoGi.

Both of them could not deserve their new belts more.

15 medals. 12 medalists. And an incredible weekend at NoGi Pans.

We’re especially proud of the work everyone put in leading up to this weekend. For many of our competitors, this was either their first tournament or one of only a handful they’ve ever done, and they chose to test themselves on one of the biggest stages in JiuJitsu.

Everyone here has normal jobs, busy lives and responsibilites. JiuJitsu is just a small part of their life but when they train they give so much and it was so fun to get to see that on display this weekend.

It was also amazing to see so many teammates come out just to support and encourage each other.

All around great weekend for the Summit Team.

Most of the people who train with us now were scared, intimidated, and almost talked themselves out of that first class.

Now, jiujitsu is something they love and a big part of their life.

The things we’re most nervous to try end up becoming the things we’re happiest we started.

Our little kids class is nearly full and we’re down to just a few spots before it goes back on a waitlist.
