Went to visit Dartmouth this Friday with Yesim Erez . A few things to note beyond exceptional academics:

The campus doesn't end so much as blend into Hanover. Walk off the Green and you're on Main Street, among bookshops and cafés, with no gate or edge in between. Students feel part of a town, not tucked away from one.

The D-Plan changes how students think about time. Ten-week terms, off-terms for research or work, and a required Sophomore Summer when everyone's on campus together. College as a rhythm rather than a straight line.

Dartmouth asks for a peer recommendation, one of very few schools that does. It says a lot about what they value: who you are to the people around you, not just on paper.

And in Rauner Library, next to a Shakespeare First Folio, you'll find Dr. Seuss's college grades. A quiet reminder that transcripts don't write the whole story.

На прошлой неделе я была в Риме на Counselor Fly-In в Luiss Guido Carli: три дня между историческим кампусом 1678 года (в этом же здании когда-то был монастырь) и сессиями в Villa Blanc.

LUISS всё увереннее заявляет о себе как вариант для программ на английском в Европе — сильный состав преподавателей, хорошие показатели трудоустройства выпускников, и направления PPE, Global Law, Global Management, International Relations, Economics and Business, и новое — Management and AI.

Не менее ценным было пообщаться с коллегами-консультантами из США и Европы — сравнить, с чем сейчас реально сталкиваются наши студенты.

Last week I was in Rome for LUISS University's Counselor Fly-In — three days between the historic 1678 campus (once a convent) and sessions at Villa Blanc.

LUISS has grown into a serious option for English-taught degrees in Europe: strong faculty ratios, solid employment outcomes after graduation, and programs spanning PPE, Global Law, Global Management, International Relations, Economics and Business, and a newer Management and AI track.

Just as good: comparing notes with fellow counselors from the US and across Europe on what our students are actually navigating right now.

Я побывала в University of Pittsburgh во время поездки на конференцию International ACAC. И я уехала с гораздо более ясным пониманием того, чем он отличается от привычного образа большого государственного университета.

International ACAC 2026 in Pittsburgh was a whirlwind 🎓✨
From the opening ceremony to a university fair that filled an entire arena, this year brought together counselors and admissions folks from all over the world. Add in campus tours of Pitt’s stunning Cathedral of Learning and Carnegie Mellon’s buzzing CMU 125 celebration, and you’ve got the perfect mix of learning, walking, and marveling at architecture.
But the real highlight? Watching the World Cup semi-final packed into a Pittsburgh bar with my colleagues from all over⚽🍻

Grateful for this community — for the ideas exchanged, the laughs shared, and the reminder that this work is so much richer when we do it together.
