📖 *“And you shall make for the breastpiece two rings of gold, and put the two rings on the two edges of the breastpiece.”* - *Exodus 28:23 (ESV)*
When God gave Moses the blueprint for the priest’s garments, He didn’t overlook a single detail. Even the *rings* mattered.
Those two golden rings on the priest’s breastpiece weren’t for decoration, they were connectors They held the sacred piece securely in place, keeping the symbol of God’s people close to the priest’s heart as he entered God’s presence.
Now pause for a second…
Two golden rings, connecting, securing, holding something sacred close to the heart. Sound familiar?
Marriage is a lot like that.
Two rings, worn by two people, represent a covenant designed to *hold sacred love in place.*
They symbolize the connection that keeps two hearts bound together, not by comfort or convenience, but by commitment.
Just as those golden rings fastened the priest’s breastpiece so it wouldn’t swing loose, the covenant of marriage is meant to anchor love when life starts moving fast.
Rings don’t just say, “I’m taken.” They say, “I’m tied,” bound by purpose, bound by promise, and bound by presence. 🙏
