Help us welcome the new school year by participating in our annual Chalk the Walk event! 🎨🖍️

On Monday, August 10, 2026, community members, students, families, and staff are invited to decorate our school entrances with colorful artwork and uplifting messages.

Whether you're an experienced artist or just love to doodle, everyone is welcome to help create a warm, encouraging welcome for our students, staff, and families. Draw inspiring images or write positive messages like "Welcome Back!" or "You've Got This!" to brighten the first day of school.

⏰ All day, with an 8:00 p.m. cutoff
📍 Any Stafford Schools campus

Sidewalk chalk will be available at each school, and all participants are asked to pre-register at www.staffordschools.net/ChalktheWalk.

Congratulations to our very own Mr. Vann on his new leadership role as Assistant Principal! Mr. Vann is truly dedicated to our Jaguar community and RTMS is very fortunate to have him on their team. We are so excited for you!

Congratulations to Mr. Craig Vann on his appointment as Assistant Principal at Rodney E. Thompson Middle School!

A dedicated member of Team Stafford for more than 25 years, Mr. Vann has spent his entire career serving the Rodney Thompson community. He began as a science teacher before transitioning to the role of School Improvement Specialist, where he partnered with teachers and staff to strengthen instruction, support professional learning, analyze student data, and help drive schoolwide improvement efforts.

Mr. Vann holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Longwood University and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Regent University.

We are excited to see Mr. Vann continue making a positive impact on students, staff, and families in this new leadership role. Please join us in congratulating him on this well-deserved appointment! 🎊

1200 athletes from across Virginia showed up to compete at the Virginia Middle School State Championships on Saturday. Our Jaguars showed up and worked hard, many of them landing in the top 15 for their events. One of them achieved State Champion!!! CONGRATULATIONS JOSEPH ADESUYI ❤️🏆

What a great day for the Jaguars! Students were treated to Kona Ice for their hard work and achievement this school year! We also turned in the Chromebooks for the summer! Many happy faces around campus today!!!! 3 more days!!!
