UPDATE: SASSY HAS BEEN ADOPTED ☺️ ‼️IMMEDIATE HELP REQUESTED‼️ https://www.petfinder.com/cat/sassy-56389003/va/stafford/stafford-county-animal-shelter-va578/ Sassy is a sweet 4 year old spayed Calico who was surrendered to us 07-19-2022 due to the previous owner having some medical issues. Since Sassy has been at the Animal Shelter, we have not been able to get her to eat at all. We are very concerned for her emotional well being, she seems extremely depressed 😔 We have just moved this sweet girl into a cat apartment where she can mingle with other felines in hopes of her opening up. ‼️UPDATE‼️ Unfortunately Sassy turned out not to be good with other cats. She scratched a customer due to an argument with other feline friends and for this reason she has been placed into quarantine. We can’t speak for the reasons why this happened but it did. She can still be adopted to a family with other felines however, it would have to be with someone who is an experienced cat owner. We have spoken with the supervisor at the Health Department who has advised us that Sassy could still be adopted out but the new owner would have to sign a 10 day confinement notice to quarantine her at her new home if she was adopted. Her emotional health and her refusing to eat here at the Animal Shelter obviously still is a huge concern for us. Sassy is very loving with people and she loves being petted. We hope to find her s forever, loving home today! Please help us with this important mission! If you are interested in adopting Sassy, the Animal Shelter is open for walk-ins Monday-Friday 11:00-17:30 and Saturdays 09:30-16:00. Since Sassy has been spayed, there are no adoption restrictions.
