What a fantastic evening! We loved welcoming our Spartan families back to school. Our halls were filled with smiles and excitement as students reconnected with friends, met their teachers, and prepared for a great year ahead.

Get Open House ready! Student schedules will be available on August 4 in StudentVue and ParentVue. Parents/guardians should log in and complete the Annual Verification for each student, updating any changes to student and family information. Student schedules will not be viewable for parents in ParentVue until after all of the Annual Verification has been completed.

Update Your App!
The ParentVUE app was updated this summer! Before logging in on your phone, delete the old ParentVUE app, then download & reinstall the ParentVUE (New) version from your app store, and log in with your existing username and password.

Our newest Spartan staff members had a great first few days of learning and team building during Prep for Success Week. We are so excited to have some amazing professionals joining our staff this year. It's going to be a great year!

Yesterday, our new and returning Spartan staff members attended a Master Classroom professional development session, which was marked by noticeable enthusiasm and engagement among staff members. Excitement is high as we look forward to the start of a new school year!

Welcome to SMS, Mr. Chamorro Barrios! We're excited to have you join our team!

Mr. Dayro Chamorro Barrios has been appointed to serve as the new Assistant Principal of Stafford Middle School.

Mr. Chamorro Barrios brings more than 13 years of experience in education, serving students in both the United States and Colombia. Throughout his career, he has been a classroom teacher, instructional leader, department chair, team leader, and mentor. Most recently, he has served as a Spanish teacher at George M. Hampton Middle School in Prince William County Schools, where he has also provided leadership as World Language Department Chair, 7th Grade Team Lead, and IB Committee Chairperson.

A dedicated educator and collaborative leader, Mr. Chamorro Barrios earned a Master of Science in Education in Educational Leadership from Longwood University and holds a bachelor's degree in English and French Education from Universidad de San Buenaventura in Colombia. He is passionate about instructional excellence, teacher development, and fostering inclusive learning environments where every student feels valued and supported.

Known for building meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff, Mr. Chamorro Barrios believes that strong school communities are built through collaboration, cultural responsiveness, and a commitment to continuous growth. His focus on student success, positive school culture, and supporting educators will be a tremendous asset to the Stafford Middle School community.
