Portland Junior Beach

Portland Junior Beach Summer beach volleyball clinics and tournaments for boys and girls 12-18 years of age. Players do not need to have a partner to attend clinics.

Portland Junior Beach is in it’s 11th year of running clinics and tournaments. This beach program is for intermediate to advanced players, however beginner clinics will be offered for players who are new to beach. We recommend that players have a good knowledge of the indoor game and have played on a team. Players will be working on partnering skills for beach doubles not learning how to play vol

leyball for the first time. Players can choose how many clinics they want to attend. Sign up for tournaments is separate from clinic registration. Registration forms for both clinics and tournaments can be downloaded at portlandjuniorbeach.com. Wendy Stammer is Portland Junior Beach’s director and founder. Wendy played professionally indoor as well as beach quads and beach doubles after her college career at LSU. Playing on teams in Italy, Germany and the United States, Wendy competed at the professional level for 18 years.

Great job to PJB’s Alexa and Scout for their finishes at Seaside this week. 9th for Alexa and Scout in the 14U 1A Gold Bracket. Emmie, Alexa, Scout and Aubrey took a 9th in the 60 team 14U division they played. And, Alexa did double duty playing with her dad, Ray, in the parent child division taking a 9th in that division! So much volleyball and so much fun! Congratulations to you all!

PJB’s 13U team of Lilah and Mia had a great showing at Seaside. Day one of the tournament they went undefeated in pool play. Today in the Gold bracket play of the 14U A2 division they placed 3rd overall as one of the top 13U teams in the 14U division. Great job you two! I’m very proud of you both.
