Stafford USD 349 SEED Center Stafford Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Center Stafford High School “Planting seeds for SEED Center classes are elective classes.

The Stafford Entrepreneurship and Economic Development (SEED) Program is an innovative approach for meeting the educational and school-to-work preparation needs of high school students. Students will learn entrepreneurship and marketing principles while participating in individual and group projects. The student will operate an entrepreneurship project and utilize marketing strategies
to promote his/her business project. Students are allowed to keep 70% of their net profits.

Central Kansas Youth Entrepreneurship Competition 2016

Student entrepreneurs from Hodgeman, Pawnee, Reno and Stafford counties presented business ideas to a panel of judges. The event was organized by Stafford County Economic Development and sponsored by Stafford County Economic Development, Stafford Chamber of Commerce, NetWork Kansas, Hodgeman County Economic Development, Pawnee County Economic Development Commission and the Quest Center for Entrepreneurs. Each student submitted and was scored on their executive summary and business plan. In addition each business presented an elevator pitch to the judges followed by questions the judges had regarding their plans and presentation.

The top three business placings from each regional competition will proceed on to the state competition in Manhattan April 25th. The top four placings were as follows:
