Virginia Open weekend brought strong performances, valuable lessons, and another opportunity for our students to represent the Red Shield with pride.

The first photo celebrates our LC2 and Juniors athletes. The second photo recognizes our adult and teens competitors. Every medal represents preparation, discipline, courage, and the support of teammates who helped each athlete get ready for competition.

Across the event, Gracie Barra earned 2nd place overall in the Virginia Open Kids, 1st place in the Pee-Wee division, and 3rd place in the Virginia Open NoGi team standings.

Thank you to every Gracie Barra school that participated, coached, supported, and competed. Different schools, one team, united in representing and defending the Red Shield.

Congratulations to all of our athletes. Now we take the lessons back to the mats and continue growing together. OSS.

Last night after training, Coach Matheus and Professor Thiago had the opportunity to share their American National medals with the team.

Jiu-Jitsu may be an individual sport when we step on the competition mat, but no one prepares alone. Every hard round, every competition training session, and every teammate who pushes us makes a difference.

As Professor Thiago often says: if I am strong, it is because I have a strong team with me.
