Moncure Elementary

And just like that, another elementary school year is officially in the books! There is a very specific, magical kind of chaos that defines these final days. We started the year with pristine, unbroken crayons and carefully packed lunchboxes and we’re ending it with scuffed sneakers, lost water bottles, and stronger minds.

It’s impossible not to feel a little sentimental watching these kids give one last high five, one last hug, one last tearful glance. Looking back, the past nine months have been a beautiful blur of missing front teeth, recess triumphs, and multiplication breakthroughs. The kids who walked through the doors last fall aren't the same ones walking out today…they are a little wiser, a little braver, and a whole lot more independent!

So, here’s to the backpacks that are finally getting a vacation and to the teachers who survived it all with a smile. Summer is officially calling and we hope all of our Bear families have a wonderful break! 🐻💙🐻

They are the very first face our kids see when the sun comes up and the reassuring wave that welcomes them back at the end of a long day. ☀️

School Bus Drivers hold a unique and profoundly important place in our community. Every single day, they take on a monumental responsibility of navigating busy streets, unpredictable weather, and traffic…all while carrying our most precious cargo. They are the Unsung Heroes of our school community! 🏆💎🎊

Moncure staff wanted to make sure our drivers knew how deeply appreciative we are of every single one of them. 🚌🐻🚌

We all know too well how challenging it can be to maintain our wellness while juggling every day commitments. Our amazing Wellness Ambassador, Natalie Selent brought the wellness to Moncure! Kudos to the staff that prioritized their wellness by relaxing, recharging, and rebuilding as a team. We would like to extend a huge thank you to Club Pilates for hosting a super fun class at the school! We would also like to give a shout out to Stafford Massage and Healing Arts for the wonderful chair massages so many of our staff members got to enjoy! 💙

Our PTO and Admin went above and beyond to show our Staff some love this past week. Staff Appreciation was in full swing with a Munchkin themed breakfast, lots of treats, Moncure swag, and of course- a Mr. Machi cooked breakfast! We are so very grateful for each and every staff member in our Moncure family! We love our school and everyone in it! 💙🐻💙

Our 5th Graders were greeted with an awesome breakfast spread on their first day of SOLs! They were offered everything from pancakes to fruit and received first class service with a smile! Our 5th grade team knows how important it is to have a good breakfast to help fuel your body for big days like this! 📚💬✏️🥞🍩🍓🍌🍇💻

Ms. Campbell, our Rockstar Art Teacher is always finding new ways to challenge our students and unlock some of that hidden potential. Moncure did not disappoint! From the stage to the halls of Colonial Forge, the talent truly shined! We LOVE being a part of the Annual Stafford County Art Festival and are so very proud of our Bears! 🎨🎼
