What do you do when life keeps throwing moving trains at you?
Terri Lomax turned her pain into lemonade. She kept her train moving – and so can you.
You don't have to get off. You can repurpose the pressure. You can set boundaries. You can choose purpose over bitterness.
Your track is still ahead. Your train is still moving.
🚂 The train doesn’t care if you get off. But you should.

🚆 Not every child expresses trauma with words.
Sometimes the signs look like:
• sudden anger
• shutting down
• difficulty focusing
• separation anxiety
• acting much younger than their age
Children process hard moments differently.
The sooner we recognize the signs, the sooner we can support the journey toward healing. 💛

🚆 “A mother’s arms are more comforting than anyone else’s.” — Princess Diana That quote hits differently in my line of work. Through supervised visits, peer support, and hospital sitting, I’ve witnessed how powerful simple connection can be for a child. Sometimes it’s not the toys, the words, or even the setting they remember most… It’s feeling safe. Feeling seen. Feeling held emotionally in difficult moments. Some children are navigating transitions no child should have to carry alone. And in those moments, compassion matters. Princess Diana was known for leading with empathy and human connection—and that’s something I try to carry into the work I do every day with children and families. 🚆 Sometimes healing starts with simply showing up with care. 🚆 Some moments don’t go as planned… and that’s the real beauty of it.
Trying to get toddlers to sit still for a picture? That’s its own train stop 😅
In that moment, all they wanted to do was move run, play, explore-because that’s what they do best. And I had to pause and ask myself…
What systems do I have in place when life feels chaotic, even in the “special” moments?
That’s where my train metaphor comes in.
Every stop is different. People come, people go, energy shifts fast-but the system has to hold it all together long enough to capture the moment.
We got the picture. Not perfect… but real.
And now, looking back as an administrator, I don’t just see the chaos—I see the growth, the joy, and the journey those little ones are on.
I pray they’re safe, loved, and guided wherever their train leads next.
Because sometimes the best memories aren’t perfect… they’re just present.
