Today we learned about eating healthy foods and how it makes us nice a strong. We read “I can read a Rainbow” and made a rainbow fruit salad. We all felt the textures of various fruits and predicted what the color of the fruit was inside. Everyone cut up the fruit and put it in a bowl to make our very own Rainbow 🌈 fruit salad. Then we followed a recipe and made whipped cream. I must say they LOVE to cook and cut things up. Karolina Woloszyn

Here are some pictures from yesterday. We read stone soup and then we made our own soup both inside and out. Can you guess the secret ingredient?…it’s SHARING! During our activities they learned so much and most of all they had fun while doing it! They did a great job listening, sharing, practicing self control while waiting for their turns, we worked on our fine motor skills while cutting our veggies, our gross motor skills while we played out side looking for clues to add to our outdoor soup, we touched on math while we measured our pasta and broth, and we did science learning how food the texture of food is changed as it is cooked. They had their soup for lunch along with grilled cheese. Although all of our friends didn’t exactly like the veggies they at least tasted, felt the texture difference, and most of all had a wonderful experience. Karolina Woloszyn

Happy St. Patrick’s day from all of us! We had lots of fun from listening to stories about leprechauns to making a pot of Gold, shamrock shakes, and green slime. And that sneaky leprechaun even turned our lunch green and gave us a new fruit to try…kiwi was a big hit. We were unsuccessful in trapping that sneaky little guy but maybe next year 🍀Karolina Woloszyn
