Day Two is done!

Brenna had a long day being a GA State FCCLA Delegate! She attended roundtable's, nothing sesi9ms of National Officer Candidate speeches, collaborated with the other GA voting delegates and submitted her vote!

Chef Hicks had a day of judging a STAR event. She was choosen to judge Food Innovations, Level 1 (middle school level). She saw some amazing projects and mock product designs. She also wore her butter socks she bought last night after opening session from We Help Two! She's been wanting these for a while!

Scarlett and Xander was able to hang out for the day, attend red talks and go to both the expo and FCCLA store.

One we were all done, we explored a little on the way to dinner. We found a few bakeries and ate more than we should have!

Xander competes in culinary tomorrow!! Wish him luck!! We are so excited to see what he can do!

We made it! We have officially arrived in Washington, D.C. for the FCCLA National Conference!🎉

The energy here is incredible, and our students are already hitting the ground running. Brenna and Scarlett wrapped up their competitions earlier today—they worked so hard and did an amazing job. With the stress of competing behind them, they’re currently having the time of their lives meeting people from all over the country and trading pins!

Xander, who will be putting his skills to the test this Wednesday in the Culinary Arts competition. He’s been putting in the work, and we can't wait to see him shine!

He is also THE FIRST student ever to compete in Culinary at.the national level from CCHS Culinary Arts !!

>Before we head into the rest of the week, we want to say a massive thank you to everyone who stepped up and donated money for the students' food. Traveling is expensive, and knowing our kids' meals are covered takes a huge weight off our shoulders. Your generosity means they can just focus on doing their best and soaking in this experience. We are so incredibly grateful for our community!

Please keep the good vibes coming and wish Brenna, Scarlett, and Xander the absolute best of luck this week! 🦅✨
