Hello! Happy October! Thank you to everyone who attended the Mann PTO meeting on October 1, in-person and online. The full notes have been sent out by email to the Mann PTO email list.
Action Items & Events:
(1) Attend Qdoba Restaurant Night Out - Thursday, October 22 - Same Day as Picture Day - Qdoba on the corner of Grand and Arsenal from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Please bring the flyer - see attached! Mann will receive 25% of the proceeds from this night out! This counts for online orders that use the code on the flyer, as well.
(2) Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up on Tuesday, October 27 and Wednesday, October 28.
The PTO will cater a meal for teachers & staff on 10/28 and we need volunteers to provide Soup, Bread & Desserts on **Tuesday, October 27.** (correction) Please sign up to bring Soup, Bread or Desserts HERE: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/904084EAEAC23A7FC1-66354526-mann
(3) Trunk or Treat–Friday, Oct 30, 5:00 - 7:00 pm
If you would like to volunteer for Trunk or Treat as a Trunk Host, a candy runner, a pizza seller or other volunteer role, please email the Mann PTO back at [email protected].
Volunteers! Please note! If you would like to host a trunk, your vehicle will be committed to being in our parking lot from about 4:30 pm until at LEAST 7:15. You MAY NOT move your vehicle prior to that time. This is a SAFETY issue!
(4) Election Day Bake Sale - Tuesday, November 3, 7:30 am - 9:30 am - in the Outdoor Classroom There is no school on Election Day, November 3, but there will be a lot of voters passing by the Outdoor Classroom. This is a great opportunity to spread the word about Mann and raise some money for our neighborhood public school! If you would like to contribute something for a Bake Sale, please email [email protected] or contact Teresa Danieley, by text at 314-503-7415. All baked goods with nuts must be clearly marked. Baked goods - 12-24 servings bagged or wrapped separately - may be dropped off the afternoon/night before. Only one or two volunteers are needed to staff the bake sale.
(5) Trivia Night! The Mann PTO will host a Trivia Night in February. Mykael Ornbaun will take the lead. If you would like to volunteer to help in any way - with gathering silent auction items, prizes, donations of beverages, writing trivia questions, set up/clean up, etc., please email [email protected] and we will connect you with Myka.
Dinner at the next PTO meeting on Thursday, November 5, will be a Chili Cook-Off! Bring a Crockpot of your favorite vegetarian or meat chili by 5:10 pm for judging. Sides and chili fixings will be provided, as well as some plain food for kids who don't like chili.
