Happy Juneteenth from Bayless!

Bayless will be closed tomorrow, Friday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth Federal Holiday. There will be no Summer Journey or Summer School. For students attending summer programs, we are excited to welcome you back on June 22!

Before last night's Board of Education Meeting, a reception honoring Sally Wear was held in the Elementary library. A graduate of the Class of 1958, she worked at Bayless for many years and has been President of the Alumni Association since its founding. She is stepping down as president, but will continue to be around to help during the transition!

Congratulations to Carsyn Ly, who competed in the MAC Senior All-star Game Friday night at World Wide Technology Park. Carsyn stole the show with his always-exciting flip throw in. Way to make Bayless Proud!

Over 20 A+ tutors have been enjoying helping out during Summer Journey! The tutors help students improve their academic and problem solving skills. These tutors are earning hours towards the A+ scholarship, that will pay for 2 years of tuition at an in state community college.

Summer school Principal Mr. Wooldridge joined in on the kickball game that P.E. was having. The P.E. class also learned new soccer skills and cooled off with popsicles. Great first week of Summer School!

Next week June 8th - 12th is Cardinal Blood Drive Week and Bayless is hosting! If you'd like to donate, the drive will be in the High School gym on June 11th from 10am - 3pm.
