At Little Precious Angels Nursery & Preschool, mealtime is about so much more than eating, it’s an opportunity for learning, growing, and building independence.

Today, our toddlers practiced family-style dining, where they served themselves with teacher guidance while learning valuable life skills that they’ll use for years to come.

✨ During family-style dining, children learn to:
🥞 Use serving utensils safely and confidently.
🤲 Take turns and patiently wait for others.
💜 Ask for help when they need it.
🌟 Offer help to a friend.
🍽️ Practice using forks, spoons, and other utensils correctly.
🗣️ Build communication and social skills through conversation.
💪 Develop independence and confidence by making their own choices.

Every scoop, every “please,” every “thank you,” and every helping hand is a lesson in kindness, responsibility, and respect.

We believe children learn best through meaningful experiences, and family-style dining creates a classroom community where everyone has a role and everyone belongs.

✨ Imagination + Technology = Magic in the Classroom ✨

At Little Precious Angels Nursery & Preschool, we believe learning should be fun, creative, and full of wonder.

This week, our children had the opportunity to explore AI in a safe, age-appropriate, and imaginative way. We asked them one simple question:

“What do you want to be when you grow up?” 💭

Some said doctor, nurse, police officer, ballerina, princess, superhero, teacher, and so much more. Then we allowed the children to take their picture and watch how AI could help bring their imagination to life through a magical portrait.

This activity was more than just picture day. It was about helping children see their dreams, use their voices, express their creativity, and understand that technology can be a tool for learning, storytelling, and imagination.

We call this incorporating AI into the classroom, using technology in a positive way to inspire curiosity, creativity, and big dreams. 💜

Our little angels were so excited to see themselves transformed into what they dream of becoming one day.

Today, we proudly celebrate I’Zaiah Gillard on his 3-Year Anniversary with Little Precious Angels Nursery & Preschool! 💜👼🏽

Over the past three years, I’Zaiah has been a dedicated leader, a trusted team member, and a positive influence on our staff, children, and families. As our Assistant Director & Administrator, he has helped strengthen daily operations, support our educators, and create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

His passion for early childhood education, commitment to excellence, and willingness to step in wherever needed have made a lasting impact on our school community. We are incredibly grateful for his hard work, leadership, and dedication to the mission of Little Precious Angels.

✨📸 AI Picture Day is coming to Little Precious Angels Nursery & Preschool! 📸✨

As part of Spirit Week, we’re bringing a little extra magic to picture day! Families will have the option for their child’s classroom photo to be transformed into a beautiful AI keepsake portrait with fun themes like:

💫 Future Me
👑 Princess/Prince/Royal
🦸 Superhero
🎓 Graduation
🩰 Ballerina and more!

Participation is completely optional. Consent forms will be sent home, and families may choose to participate or opt out.

Parents will also receive ordering information and a QR code to view and purchase portraits online.

We can’t wait to capture these sweet little smiles and turn everyday classroom moments into magical memories. 💜💕✨

This week, our little learners will explore what makes them special through activities about:

Missouri lawmakers are currently discussing a $51 MILLION cut to childcare funding.

If this happens, the impact will not only affect childcare providers, it will affect every community, business, and working family in Missouri.

Here’s what happens when childcare disappears, even for just one day:

🏥 Hospitals become understaffed
Nurses and healthcare workers cannot show up for their shifts.

🚓 Police departments become short staffed
Public safety response times slow down.

🍽 Restaurants close or reduce hours
Workers cannot report to their jobs.

🛍 Retail businesses shut down early
Businesses lose revenue.

🏫 Schools are disrupted
Parents cannot work, and families are forced to scramble for care.

This is called the Childcare Domino Effect.

Childcare isn’t just a service for families — it is infrastructure for our workforce and economy.

Without childcare:

Today our toddlers had so much fun during Paint Day in our Art Area!

With paintbrushes in hand and lots of excitement, our little artists explored colors, textures, and creativity while painting their beautiful green masterpieces. Activities like this help toddlers develop fine motor skills, creativity, and confidence while learning to share supplies and take turns with their friends.

Art is such a wonderful way for children to express their imagination and build important early learning skills, and of course, it brings lots of smiles along the way! 😊
