Beyond Housing… Housing, Scholarships, and so much more❣️

At Normandy High School, Aniya Kollore was a standout athlete who earned a track scholarship at Missouri
Western State University.

Though her tuition was taken care of, Beyond Housing’s Viking Advantage college savings program provided the savings for her books, computer, and other needs.

In 2022, Ms. Kollore graduated with a degree in construction engineering and now lives and works in St. Louis. She is working once again with a Viking Advantage coordinator―this time, to set up an individual development account, or IDA, to help her purchase a car.

Join the Young Friends of Beyond Housing at CITYPARK on Sunday, Oct. 6, when the STL City2 soccer team takes on Tacoma. This social event is also a fundraiser for Beyond Housing, with $5 of every $15 ticket sold in advance benefiting our work in North St. Louis County.

On game day, gather your friends and meet on the east side of the stadium at 2:30 p.m. Look for the group wearing Dear Lou t-shirts at the entry gate. Since seating is general admission, we’ll be able to sit together to cheer on the CITY2 players as they continue their journey for the MLS Next Pro Cup.

Our Daycare’s Literacy on The Lawn had beautiful weather yesterday☀️

Thank you Mrs Trawick, with Ready Readers, for being our storyteller and bringing 3 books for I/T, Pre-k, and Schoolagers 📚

The takeaway books and prop baggies were just what was needed for the families to read along with their children at home💖

Give them words to use so they won’t have to use their hands…

Farm week has been a blast as we made cow udders and milked them, waddled animals thru the mud on the farm, wash the animals, identifies which animals we like to eat or not and lastly, let’s take a trip to Grants Farm❣️

Thanks to a great staff for a great week of sensory fun in this raining weather this week! Just think, we almost cancelled our Fieldtrip because they said Thunderstorms 😱

Today we celebrated International Mud Day‼️
We scooped, shoveled, smashed, patted, sat, splashed, squeezed, smeared, stomped it‼️‼️‼️
We have some who chose not to partake, so we provided so clean, fresh water to splash in 💦
Sensory Overload…No Such Thing🤣
