Today, we commemorate Juneteenth, a day honoring the end of slavery in the United States and the enduring pursuit of freedom, dignity, and justice for all 🫶🏻

As we reflect on this important moment in history, we remember the value of learning from the past as we continue striving to live with greater understanding, compassion, and justice.

Spartans In Spain 🇪🇸

Some of our Spartans spent the beginning of summer exploring Spain and taking in its culture, history, and cuisine.

An unforgettable experience and an incredible opportunity to learn beyond the classroom!

Forming Men for Others… even in the summer!!

Last week, our Spartan Service Camp campers spent the week serving throughout the St. Louis community through hands-on service. From tornado relief efforts to volunteering at a local church and spending time with residents at a senior living community, these young men gave their time and energy to support others across our community.

A meaningful week spent learning, serving, and making a difference☀️

Congratulations to our Ignatian Global Scholars on another great year!

Students in the Ignatian Global Scholars Certificate Program gathered at the end of the semester to celebrate their accomplishments and recognize the commitment, curiosity, and global perspective they demonstrated throughout the year.

Through the program, students engage in opportunities that help them better understand the world around them while growing as Men for Others.

We are proud of all of our Global Scholars and the way they represented De Smet Jesuit this year. 🌎

A special shoutout to our Class of 2026 Ignatian Global Scholars! Thank you for all you contributed to the program and for helping set the standard for future Spartan Global Scholars🎓 (Not pictured: Tommy Willie & Michael Piña)

Some places never stop feeling like home...

We were honored to welcome members of the Classes of 1971 and 1976 back to Spartan Country for their 55th and 50th reunions!

More than five decades after graduation, classmates gathered to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate the bonds formed during their time at De Smet Jesuit. The Class of 1976 returned in full force to mark 50 years since graduation, sharing stories, memories, and plenty of laughter with the classmates who helped shape their De Smet experience.

The Class of 1971 celebrated a historic milestone as part of the first 55th Reunion in school history. Members of the class also celebrated Mass in the Innovation Center, a space that once served as the De Smet library and where many of them attended Mass as students.

Thank you to both classes for returning to campus and reminding us that being a Spartan is truly a lifelong brotherhood.

While severe weather prevented us from hosting this year’s Spring Band Concert, our Spartan musicians still had the opportunity to perform and share their talents 🎶

These students spent the semester developing their skills, learning new music, and working together as an ensemble. We’re grateful they were able to showcase the results of that hard work and dedication before the end of the school year.

Thank you to our student musicians for another great year of music at De Smet Jesuit🎺
