Tamara Biggs took the long road to her degree, and it paid off in the most unexpected ways.

After a last-minute transfer to Webster in the late ’70s, she found her footing in the History program and launched a career that’s included designing exhibitions at major museums, leading a field trip to the Marshall Islands and building a life of creativity and community in Chicago.

Her motto? “I help small museums do big things.”

Today, we are spotlighting Veteran and Webster alumnus Allie L. Braswell, Jr. He earned his Master of Arts in Human Resource Management and is the founder and CEO of Braswell Group!

What was your Commencement ceremony like?

From Webster’s dance studios to founding her own company in NYC. Alum Ashley McQueen (BFA ’11) uses movement to build confidence and spark connection through her organization, Smashworks Dance.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Empty Bowls Project fundraiser. Attendees walked away with one-of-a-kind student work, and we raised over $1,700 for the on-campus food pantry!

Spotlight on the soon-to-be alumna, Samantha Finder, an Elementary Education major! One of her favorite things about Webster is all the opportunities she had as a student.

“I was able to dip into things like leadership, volunteering, curriculum development for a television show, tutoring, grant projects, speaking and reading in a foreign language at a library.”

With graduation just weeks away, we’re spotlighting some of our amazing seniors. Meet Francisco Jiménez, a Film, Television and Video Production major.
Francisco says his time at Webster and the connections he’s made have given him the confidence to keep growing in his craft.
“I think about graduating, and it feels strange knowing I won’t be able to walk down the hall and talk with some of the great people at Webster.”

Andy Masters is a high-achieving Webster graduate with two master's degrees. Now, he works as an award-winning author and keynote speaker, using what he learned to inspire and teach others.

Meet Sriram Chidambaram, an exercise science major from Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, who will be graduating in less than a month! At Webster, he accomplished his dream of playing collegiate soccer and found his passion for physical therapy.
