St. Louis Montessori School had an eventful week with a mix of creative activities and traditional teaching methods. Our scholars were exposed to a diverse range of innovative concepts that sparked their interest and curiosity. The pleasant weather allowed for enjoyable outdoor activities, and it was inspiring to see our scholars engage in intellectual discussions with their peers and teachers about the fruit of the week. Please find below some pictures from our weekly celebrations.

Good Evening, esteemed families and educators. I am delighted to express my gratitude for the remarkable success of our healthy fruit choice program. We have had a delightful experience learning about the benefits of various fruits, and our scholars are thoroughly enjoying the program. The pictures attached are from last week's program, which featured nectarines as the fruit of the week. Their sweetness and deliciousness were truly exceptional.

Our very own safari here in St. Louis 🙌 📍Lone Elk Park 🦌 1 Lone Elk Park Rd St. Louis, MO 63088 🥾An amazing county park that has 546 acres of wildlife & trails. There are bison, wild turkey, waterfowl, elk and deer. 🥾The park is FREE to enter, but there is a cup for donations by the entrance! 🥾When it is too cold or hot for the kiddos to hike (or we just feel like going for a drive), we love to drive through this park to spy for elk and bison. 🥾If you go right at 8am, a lot of the elk and bison will be on the road after the ranger has come through to feed them. 🥾If you are interested in watching them eat closer up, the special access pass is AMAZING (follow behind the ranger’s food truck). It is $20/vehicle and so worth the early wake up time! We meet at 6am at the entrance to the park, where we follow the food truck and the park ranger. We drive through all the roads and watch the elk and bison get fed. We bring our kids in their pjs and they LOVE this experience too. 🥾To sign up for this experience, go to St. Louis County’s parks and rec page (I will post the link to this in my Instagram stories. They are HERE!!!!! 📍Columbia Bottom Conservation Area Sunflowers Field Ramp Upper Columbia Bottom Rd St. Louis, MO 63138 GPS Coordinates to ramp: 38.80869° N, 90.13850° W We loved this spot so much! The fields rotate throughout the next few weeks. Follow the sunflower signs to where the fields are blooming (I think this field is towards the end of the bloom). The bugs were not bad for us at all, but we did put on sunscreen and bug spray just in case :) Thanks to the fab @eliza.donelson for giving the heads up that the sunflowers are in bloom!! ❤️🌻
