Today, we are highlighting Lexie, a fourth-year psychology student at the University of Illinois Chicago, and Treasurer of the GGO UIC Club!

Here's what Lexie had to say about her experiences with GGO:

"I started volunteering with GGO because it seemed like it would be a really fun and interesting experience to partake in. Turns out my gut was right!

This has been the most enriching experience I have been able to give my time to. Nothing beats the way the kids' eyes light up whenever they're learning something new about the environment or when they are doing fun activities.

It is really rewarding to bring those moments to life through volunteering and interacting with the kids. The work this organization is doing is really something great!"

A HUGE thank you to Lincoln Park Zoo for awarding GGO and our students a free field trip including free transportation!

We're so excited to bring our students to the zoo this fall for a day full of exploration, learning, and connection with nature. Opportunities like this make such a big difference, and we're incredibly grateful to LPZ for their generosity. 🙌
