After decades of working on healing my relationship with food, I discovered nothing changed until I confronted my cravings. Now, I am dedicated to a personal project about conquering cravings without relying on willpower.
Cravings have become an epidemic, and your feedback and insights prove invaluable. It's a short survey that you can take anonymously. Before you read these reminders.....
A new year and a new decade I am sure your newsfeeds are FILLED to the BRIM with these New Year New You Reminders.
I love creating goals and to be honest, I am pretty good at achieving them in my personal life.
Not so much with Cooking Healthy Academy.
As you can tell, I have been missing in in-action.
As a New Decade dawns, I find myself with the same old resolutions.
And, I don't care to fall into the next decade as I failed in the last.
Yes, I have failed because I allowed the fear of the opinions of others to stop me.
I commit to you on the dawn of this New Year in this New Decade to be:
--->Visible when I feel vulnerable
--->Kind when I don't care to be
--->Consistent when I I am afraid and do it anyway
--->Standing firm in my teaching and thoughts THAT are the opposite of the "wellness field"
--->Creating Cooking events that require high investment in time that are all online and to walk into the Zoom Room alone if needed.
I have been so afraid of failing.
I have been so afraid of teaching to an empty room.
I have been so afraid of difficult conversations.
My Ego tells me that I am not needed. There are Bigger and Better people who do what I do.
My Ego tells me that I have done enough. I am in my mid-fifties. I have raised 2 kids I have beat an addiction to food for 11 years (most days, not all days)
Yet, here are I am 10 years of inconsistency.
I cannot give it up because another voice, I quieter and calmer voice whispers:
"You are needed"

Yesterday I created a Facebook Live around creating these sweet and delicious cauliflower discs. Here is a picture of the finished product. Use these discs as:
* Baby pizza crusts
* As "bread to dip with your eggs.
* With hummus for a snack.
