This month's episode of "1818: A Saint Louis University Alumni Podcast" starts with legendary NASA flight director and SLU alumnus Eugene "Gene" Kranz (PC '54), who details how his undergraduate experience as a Billiken shaped the mental fortitude required to navigate the Apollo 11 lunar landing, Apollo 13 and other missions.

We can't wait to cheer on SLU alum Tim Ream (CSB '10) as captain of the U.S. Men’s National Team at the 2026 World Cup! 🇺🇸⚽

This is Ream's second appearance in the World Cup. He currently plays for Charlotte FC in Major League Soccer. He played four seasons for the Billikens under head coach Dan Donigan from 2006-09 — earning 2009 Atlantic 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year.

About the Giveaway: To enter, email [email protected] during the entry period. The first eligible entry received, as determined by the timestamp recorded on SLU’s email server, will be selected as the winner.

Only one entry per person is permitted. One winner will be selected to receive two tickets to SLU’s Cardinals vs. Mets Outing on June 10 at Citi Field. Tickets will be located in Section 332 and include access to the Heineken Diamond Lounge for a ballpark buffet and pre-game gathering. (Approximate retail value: $132 per ticket.)
The giveaway begins at 10 a.m. (CST) and ends at 6 p.m. (CST) on June 9, 2026. Entries received before or after this period will not be eligible.
The giveaway is open to legal residents of the United States age 18 or older who are alumni of Saint Louis University. Void where prohibited. Individuals subject to NCAA restrictions are not eligible.

Winners will be notified by email by 7 p.m. (CST) on June 9, 2026. Tickets will be forfeited if not claimed by 6 p.m. June 10, 2026. No substitutions will be allowed, and no alternate winners will be chosen. This is a first-come, first-served promotion. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the entry period and the speed at which entries are submitted.
No purchase necessary.
Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted.
Saint Louis University reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the promotion if fraud, technical failure, or other factors compromise the integrity of the giveaway.

Join us in congratulating Michael F. Isaacson (A&S ’86, GRAD CSB ’96) on being named the College of Arts and Sciences' 2026 Alumni Merit Awardee. Isaacson, a 10-time Tony Award-winning Broadway producer, took his first step toward a career in the theater during freshman orientation at Saint Louis University in 1982.
