Good Shepherd School for Children

Our friends from Commerce(with whom we bank), spent most of the day volunteering here at GSS, inside and out, and worked tirelessly painting, weeding, organizing, trimming, hauling and more. Big jobs that would have cost us a lot otherwise, and they did a phenomenal job! We are grateful for their generosity and partnership!

International Day of Play takes place annually on June 11. Established by the United Nations to champion children's right to play, the global observance focuses on ensuring every child has safe, inclusive environments to heal, learn, and develop through play. Research affirms the impactful benefits of play-based learning, something we emphasize at GSS.

Not to muddy the waters 😉…but abundant research affirms the incredible benefits of letting kids get messy and exploring their world—even if it didn’t, their smiles say it all.

Arctic animal ice rescue!

Please join me in congratulating Jasmine Flores, assistant teacher in our Giraffes Room, as our next Employee of the Month! Miss Jas has demonstrated great flexibility and professionalism navigating some room and logistical changes, and also has helped out several times end of day, closing the building for us(much appreciated). And always provides nurturing, supportive care to our young kiddos. Thanks, Miss Jas, and congrats!

So many emotions. The GSS journey for most of these precious graduates began in the infant room, and so many teachers and staff lent a hand along the way. Big Thanks to all of them, to our wonderful families, to everyone who has contributed along the way, and of course, most of all, to these incredible students themselves. This is what it’s all about. Congrats 2026 Good Shepherd Graduates, well done, and we look forward to hearing about your amazing next steps!
