Today we had the absolute pleasure of visiting a local retirement community for a very special field trip. I am so incredibly proud of our students!

They were truly amazing while getting to know the residents — playing games, working on puzzles, coloring together, and most importantly, sharing conversations and laughter. The kindness, patience, and genuine interest they showed meant so much. They were respectful, attentive, and brought such positive energy into every interaction.

When we returned to school, we took time to reflect as a class, and it was heartwarming to hear how much the experience meant to them. Many students shared how much they enjoyed the stories they heard and the connections they made.

I am so happy with how the trip went and so proud of the maturity and compassion your kiddos demonstrated. They are already excited to visit again in April! Before the end of this week, they will also be writing letters to their new friends to stay connected.

Thank you for raising such thoughtful and caring children — they represented our class beautifully today. 🧡

What a great week!! Have a great Valentine’s Day and long weekend!! 💕🐾💌
