Bayless Junior High School, part of the Bayless School District founded in 1868, is one of the oldest school districts in the state of Missouri. Louis County, we provide a small-school environment for students in sixth through eighth grade. Our goal is to make sure all students have the opportunity to become Smart, Good and Strong.

Clubs Are Kicking Off at BJH!

The halls at Bayless Junior High are buzzing as our clubs get underway! On Wednesday, Pokémon Club met for the first time this school year, giving students an opportunity to connect, have fun, and spend time doing something they love.

A huge Broncho shout-out to Mrs. Riggs for sharing her incredible knowledge and enthusiasm for Pokémon with our students and creating such a fun experience for them!

This is one of the things that makes BJH such a special place. We want our students to have opportunities to try something new, discover new interests, and continue investing in the things they already love. There truly is something for everyone at BJH, the key is getting involved and taking advantage of all the amazing opportunities available!

We can’t wait to see our clubs continue to grow throughout the year!

🎭✨ Lights, Camera… WAX MUSEUM! ✨🎭

Theater & Speech class brought learning to life with a Wax Museum! Our students stepped into character and showed off their confidence, creativity, and incredible focus. The creativity from Mrs. Glass is electric.

The challenge? Keep your face still and stay in character! 😄 And these students were SO focused! They looked confident, cool, and completely committed to their roles.

It was such a fun, engaging, and memorable learning experience the kind of activity that gets students excited to participate and learn. We are so proud of the creativity and confidence our students continue to show!

Bayless Educational Support Team - BEST, the district's Parent Teacher Organization, has its first meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 8, at 7 p.m. in the Elementary Library.

They shared this message for families: We are a volunteer group of parents/guardians/family and community members of Bayless School District that host monthly meetings, events, help with things around school, and much more throughout the year.

As a volunteer group our main goal is to help provide everything we can to make every kiddo have the BEST year ever, from Preschool till their Senior year at Bayless. We love growing as a group and creating new and more updated events to engage families in the Bayless community. Bringing everyone together to celebrate and learn.

We are always looking for more input and more ideas to bring to BEST events, parties, etc. If you would like to be apart of our group please attend a meeting to have a voice in the planning process of events, gatherings, etc.

What a wonderful first week of school at Bayless Junior High!

Our Bronchos are officially back in full swing, and we couldn’t be more excited! We’ve loved seeing our students learning, growing, connecting, and building relationships throughout our classrooms and hallways.

There is already so much energy, excitement, and learning happening at BJH, and we know it’s going to be a great school year!
