ShaModd And Me Daycare and Learning Center, LLC

ShaModd And Me Daycare and Learning Center, LLC We are one of the first daycares to adopt an Afrocentric ideology and cultured teaching for infants-5 years old.

Mission

The mission of ShaModd and Me Daycare, LLC is to provide a safe, hygienic, child-centered home environment with lots of love and care for each child. ShaModd and Me Daycare, LLC is an exclusive environment for infants to 5 years old providing them with education in their most informative years. I started this business due to my nephew who passed away from Sickle Cell Anemia disease at the age of 9 and I wanted to bring awareness to early detection. The other reason was due to adolescents’ su***de and crime amongst children under the age of 15 years old. I believed there was a lack of Black History and Culture being taught in the community and or in schools. Children need to know who they are and where they come from and why. I wanted to provides an exclusive environment for infants to 5 years old, while providing them education about their history and culture of all people of color, but the emphasis on African ancestry teaching and learning. Studies have shown that from infants to five years old a child’s brain develops more than at any other period in a child’s life and I want to capture that.
