Whether you’re off work today or not, take a moment to reflect on the importance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and work.

When Dr. King said, “somewhere I read…,” he was reminding the nation that justice was already written into our laws and ideals—it was promised, yet repeatedly denied.

He called out the hypocrisy of a democracy that spoke of equality while failing to deliver it to everyone.

Today, that message matters more than ever. We must stand up, speak out against injustice, and demand dignity for all.
